The Philadelphia Eagles didn’t just defeat the Washington Commanders in the NFC Championship Game, they made history with the most points ever scored in conference title game during their 55-23 rout.
Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts put up one his best performances of the season completing 20-of-28 passes of 248 yards while running back Saquon Barkley went off with 15 rushes for 118 yards and three touchdowns.
Cheering for the Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday, were ESPN analyst Jason Kelce and his wife, Kylie Kelce. Kelce admitted that he was “torn” over heading to the Eagles-Commanders matchup instead of watching his brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce take on the Buffalo Bills at Arrowhead Stadium in the AFC Championship Game.
“I want to be there for the Eagles, but I also want to be there for my brother. I don’t know how many more [games] he has,” Kelce said of his younger brother on “They Call It Late Night.” However, the 37-year-old ultimately remained in Philly.
Kelce retired from the NFL after playing his entire 13-year career with the Eagles and remains a huge supporter of the franchise. As for Kylie, she was a die hard Eagles fan long before she met and married the future Hall of Famer.
While fans were thrilled knowing how happy the Kelces must be with the Eagles advancing to the big game, they were also concerned. Should the Chiefs defeat the Bills and advance to the Super Bowl, it could make for an awkward family dynamic.
The Chiefs ultimately defeated the Bills 32-29 on Sunday night, punching their ticket to Super Bowl. The “Not Gonna Lie” podcast host, who’s pregnant with the couple’s fourth child, will undoubtedly be excited for her brother-in-law. However, fans struggled to see her cheering for the Chiefs instead of the Eagles.
A Swiftie posted, “Ok but if the SB ends up being chefs vs eagles how will Kylie Kelce survive this?????” One person responded, “That lady bleeds Kelly Green, she’ll be staunch & stoic.”
One woman wrote, “the super bowl very possibly could be eagles vs chiefs and that will be so funny bc it’s no question that jason and kylie will be rooting for the eagles,’ to which a fan replied, “For sure for Kylie. It’ll be more nuanced for Jason.”
Others found the complexities entertaining. One woman wrote, “I need the chiefs to win solely to watch Kylie Kelce root for the eagles while everyone else roots for the chiefs and I just think it’ll be a great dynamic.”
