The Atlanta Falcons and Washington Commanders are among teams that could look to acquire star defensive end Trey Hendrickson in a trade with the Cincinnati Bengals, according to a report Thursday from Fox Sports’ Jordan Schultz.
Bengals linebacker Logan Wilson and defensive tackle BJ Hill were among Hendrickson’s Cincinnati teammates reacting to the news that the team granted Hendrickson’s request to be traded, just weeks after he finished as the NFL’s sacks leader but wasn’t named AP Defensive Player of the Year.
ESPN’s Mina Kimes said on “NFL Live” that she sees the Chicago Bears as another potential suitor, given defensive coordinator Dennis Allen was Hendrickson’s defensive coordinator with the New Orleans Saints for Hendrickson’s first four NFL seasons.
“The Chicago Bears have a need at edge, and now a defensive coordinator in Dennis Allen who, you talked about him with the Saints, has history with Trey Hendrickson,” Kimes said. “The Cardinals are a team with a ton of cap space, need at edge.”
Kimes also mentioned the Commanders, Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers as having a need at edge.

“Everybody needs Trey Hendrickson,” Kimes added. “But those teams come to mind in my opinion as ones that might be on the phone (with the Bengals).”
