Duck Dynasty and Going Si-Ral beloved star Uncle Si Robertson suffered a hunting accident that, unfortunately, landed him in the emergency room. Fortunately for him, however, he only suffered minor injuries, meaning that the 76-year-old personality will continue to charm his audience for quite a while.
News of his accident and his visit to the ER was shared by the rest of the Duck Call Room podcast hosts. Uncle Si, who was missing from the January 23 episode, joined Duck Commander general manager Justin Martin and two men and went on a hunting trip to Arkansas, according to Country Music Family. On a boat, they traveled to check on the duck blinds.
Once the men returned to the shore, however, it appeared that Uncle Si was eager to get out of the boat as soon as possible. This meant that taking his gear off beforehand was a no-go for Uncle Si. That’s when the accident took place.
“Typical Silas Robertson, he’s in a dang hurry to get out of the boat and into the Polaris, he fell,” Martin said during the Duck Call Room podcast episode. “He fell trying to get out of the boat…it’s steep right there. He went to take a long step instead of waiting on us.” Martin said that Uncle Si hit an oxygen tank when he fell. He, however, tried to hide it from everyone else. “He bounced right back up…he didn’t want anybody to see that he fell,” Martin continued.
When prompted, Uncle Si Robertson said that he didn’t feel any pain. However, there was something strange about his behavior. “We get back to the clubhouse, and breakfast is done and we’re looking up and there’s no Si,” Martin said. “He’s just sitting outside in the cold. I immediately thought he had a concussion because it was out of character.”
The fact that Uncle Si did not say anything while eating was also a “red flag.” Once back in Louisiana, Uncle Si, who was obviously hurt and in pain after all, was taken to the ER. He had previously visited a walk-in clinic. Fortunately for him, however, while his oxygen levels were low, doctors only found that he had suffered bruises on his ribs. His bloodwork also showed nothing wrong with Uncle Si.
