In a recent interview, former President Donald Trump addressed the topic of unidentified flying objects (UFOs), confirming that he is often asked about it. The interview happened with Logan Paul on his podcast, “Impaulsive.” Logan Paul has been very public with his support for Trump and has financially supported his campaigns in the past.
Donald Trump mentioned that he thinks there “could be” alien life in the universe, largely because U.S. pilots he met while president, whom he found to be “like beautiful Tom Cruise but taller,” told him they saw unexplained things in the sky. One such pilot reportedly told him, “Sir, there was something there that was round in form and going four times faster than my super jet fighter plane.”
When asked about aliens, Trump stated, “Am I a believer? No, I probably can’t say I am. But I have met with people that are serious people that say there’s some really strange things that they see flying around out there.” Logan Paul noted the recent confusing and upsetting disclosures in Congress about UFOs and UAPs (Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena).
Trump pondered the possibility of alien life, citing the vastness of the universe with its numerous planets. He questioned, “Why wouldn’t there be something, somebody?” Trump’s comments are part of a broader trend, as former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton have also publicly discussed UFOs.
Barack Obama, on CBS’s “The Late Late Show with James Corden,” said that there is footage and records of objects in the skies that are unexplained. He denied knowledge of an alien spacecraft crash in Roswell in 1947, but added humorously that if the Air Force recovered alien bodies, they didn’t inform him.
Bill Clinton showed a genuine interest in UFOs during his presidency and wanted to know what the U.S. government knew. He had aides search Area 51 and publicly addressed a child’s question about Roswell during a visit to Belfast in 1996. Clinton told Jimmy Kimmel in 2014 that he ensured there were no aliens at Area 51 and would have informed the public if he found any evidence.
