Decoding the Messi family’s ‘transformation’

Not only did Messi win big at the 2023 Ballon d’Or awards ceremony, he and the rest of his family made a strong impression through their extremely perfect outfits.

There was a time when Argentine star Lionel Messi made people wide-eyed with his strange fashion sense every time he attended the Ballon d’Or awards ceremony. Typical examples of Messi’s fashion disaster were the time he wore a polka dot outfit at the 2012 Ballon d’Or awards ceremony or a shiny red suit at the 2013 Ballon d’Or awards ceremony. But that was “old fashion”, and at the 2023 Ballon d’Or awards ceremony, Lionel Messi received compliments for his elegant outfit, perfect in every detail.

Messi family praised for perfect outfits

The star, who has just won the Ballon d’Or a record 8 times, wore a black suit with a black Damoflage print, combined with a white shirt, an elegant black bow tie and shiny leather shoes. Messi’s outfit was further enhanced by the new Tambour watch in 18k rose gold, worn on his wrist, adding a touch of luxury. Meanwhile, his wife Antonela Roccuzzo wore a long black dress that was both luxurious and equally charming and sexy.

What’s even more interesting is that the Messi family’s sophisticated fashion sense is also reflected in the “ton sur ton” way of dressing of the three sons: Thiago, Mateo and Ciro. Like their famous father, the three boys all wore black suits, harmoniously combined with white shirts. According to research, the reason the Messi family “transformed” so much at the 2023 Ballon d’Or awards ceremony turned out to be thanks to the direction of the luxury fashion brand Louis Vuitton.
