Dave Grohl recently rocked the stage with his daughter, Violet Grohl — marking his first performance since his paternity scandal made headlines four months ago.

On Thursday, January 30, the 55-year-old Foo Fighters frontman performed at the FireAid benefit concert in Los Angeles to help raise money for those affected by the devastating wildfires that ravaged the city earlier this month.

Dave performed multiple songs alongside his former Nirvana bandmates Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear. Violet, 18, joined her dad on stage to sing “All Apologies,” the band’s hit track from 1993. While Dave banged out on the drums during the song, he also added some backing vocals, letting the audience hear his and Violet’s voices together.

Dave shares Violet — as well as daughters Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10 — with his wife Jordyn Blum, 48, whom he wed in 2003. However, life took a turn for the family in September 2024, after the rockstar revealed that he had fathered a child outside his marriage.

The “All My Life” singer posted a statement via Instagram that month letting the public know he had a new child, but was trying to rebuild his relationships with his family. He did not share the name of the baby’s mother.

“I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her,” Dave wrote on the social media platform. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.”

Despite the infidelity, neither Jordyn nor the “Everlong” singer has filed for divorce. However, in October an insider spoke to People explaining that while Jordyn “calmed down” from the “initial shock” of the situation, “their marriage is still not in great shape.”
