In a recent interview with the media, Lionel Messi named the four teammates he loves the most when passing the ball. Kylian Mbappe and his superstar friend were not on the list.

Lionel Messi is currently in China with the Argentina national team to prepare for the friendly match against Australia on June 15. Here, he recently had an interview with the media, sharing many interesting things about his career as well as his future plans.

Notably, when asked about the teammates that Messi feels most comfortable passing the ball to, the Tango striker named 4 names. Among them, there was no appearance of Mbappe or the superstar’s close friend Sergio Aguero.

El Pulga stressed: “ Luis Suarez, Neymar, Xavi and Samuel Eto’o are the players who make me feel most comfortable when passing the ball ”.

These are all names that are mainly associated with Messi when the striker born in 1987 played at Barcelona. Therefore, it is understandable why the 2022 world champion ignored Mbappe in this list even though both have many times combined to score goals for PSG.

In addition to the above sharing, the Argentine striker also praised his former teacher Pep Guardiola after witnessing him and Man City win a historic treble in the 2022/23 season with victories in the Premier League, FA Cup and European Cup 1.

Talking about the Spanish strategist, Messi emphasized: “ I still keep in touch with him (Guardiola). The recent Champions League victory proves to everyone that he is the best coach in world football. It is a title that is completely worthy of him .”

Also in an interview with Chinese media, Messi confirmed that he will not attend the 2026 World Cup . This is clearly information that brings a lot of regret to fans because they still really want to see El Pulga at the most prestigious tournament on the planet.

Regarding Messi, it was revealed that he will only participate in the match against Australia on June 15 and will not play when Argentina faces Indonesia on June 19.
