One of the world’s best footballers, Cristiano Ronaldo, celebrated his 39th birthday yesterday.

Ronaldo is not only one of the best and most expensive athletes in the world but also a global brand. Despite being in his late playing years, his popularity remains unabated. CR7 has an incredible 620 million followers on Instagram and is by far the most popular athlete on the planet.

Fans follow his every step and stories from the Portuguese superstar’s private life attract enormous public attention.

Ronaldo is a family man, he has five children, three of whom were born through a surrogate mother, while his longtime partner, Georgina Rodriguez, gave birth to the other two.

The Argentinian model gave birth to Ronaldo’s fourth child, Alan Martin (6), and later carried twins. Unfortunately, the boy passed away at birth, and the girl, Bella, is now one year old.

Interestingly, the mothers of Ronaldo’s older children – Cristiano Junior (11) and the twins Eva and Mateo (6), conceived through artificial insemination – have never been revealed.

Cristiano shocked the public when, at the age of 26, he announced he had become a father, briefly explaining that all parental rights were transferred to him, and the mother would have no contact with the child.

Later, Ronaldo’s mother, Maria Dolores (66), revealed that she personally went to a private hospital in Florida for him and took him to Spain (which now appears to be false because his birth certificate says that he was born in the same hospital where his brother was born and sister, twins). Whether he was born by a surrogate mother or whether Cristiano is the result of a one-night affair remains unknown to this day.

“People assume I was with this girl or with that girl, or there was a surrogate mother. I have never told anyone, and I never will. When Cristiano (Junior) grows up, I will tell him the truth because he deserves it as my son, but I won’t tell it because people want me to,” Ronaldo once told host Jonathan Ross.

Ronaldo is a man with a lot of money willing to spend it to achieve his goals. Thus, it became public knowledge that he used the services of surrogate mothers, finding women willing to undergo artificial insemination, childbirth, and then relinquishing the child – all for a hefty sum.

After the birth of the twins, the United Kingdom (UK) media investigated the case and discovered that the twins were conceived in a laboratory in Los Angeles, and some of the documents are available to the public. It is clear from the documents that it was a surrogate pregnancy, but the mother’s name is not visible. The children were born in La Mesa, California, near the Mexican border.

The children were born five years ago, Eva on July 9th, and her brother a minute later, according to the birth registry. This solved at least part of the mystery because the public speculated that they were not twins at all, that is, that they were not born by the same mother, and the birth certificate was signed by the attending doctor, Maria Castillo.

Stefani Caballero, a leading United States (U.S.) attorney in surrogacy, believes Ronaldo is the biological father of these children and assumes that all his children come from a “batch of embryos.”

Surrogacy clinics routinely fertilize several eggs simultaneously and freeze and store them for years in case the client wants more children. Caballero reveals how Ronaldo could have had three children.

The first step is to choose one of the many agencies in California, where surrogacy has become a billion-dollar industry due to favorable laws for potential parents. Thus, single people, couples of any orientation and the like can become parents. In Portugal, surrogacy agreements are legally forbidden, especially since Ronaldo is unmarried.

“No Portuguese court would recognize any agreement between Cristiano and a surrogate mother, and such an agreement would be declared void,” emphasizes Caballero.

In California, the agency is paid 150.000 euros for twins, of which 40.000 euros go to the mother. Ronaldo was able to choose an egg donor (usually receiving around 7.000 euros) from hundreds of women whose photos and biographical data are listed on the agency’s website. Since Ronaldo clearly wanted children in his “image and likeness,” or as he once said, “who would carry his football genes,” he chose similar, athletic types of women who are Latin Americans.

As his children resemble him, it is evident that his sperm is the other part of the equation. In California, a second woman is chosen to carry the fertilized egg (usually to avoid emotional attachment between her and the child that could complicate things after birth). Everything is regulated by a contract signed before pregnancy, and according to it, women waive all rights.

This could explain why Ronaldo’s sister Katia (45) reportedly noticed that the children have two mothers, who are Mexican. After birth, birth certificates and passports are arranged, which is why the twins managed to arrive in Spain three weeks after birth, again accompanied by the footballer’s mother because he was playing for the Portuguese national team against Russia. Mothers probably don’t even know whose children they gave birth to.

According to the strict conditions of discretion and the right to privacy, women who donated eggs, as well as those who carried the pregnancy to the end, are usually not even told where the children “ended up”, N1 writes.
