Cristiano Ronaldo sets unprecedented record

Shining to help Al Nassr defeat Al Taawoun in the Arab Super Cup semi-finals, Cristiano Ronaldo set an unprecedented scoring record.

Returning from the Euro 2024 break, Ronaldo and Al Nassr entered the match against Al Taawoun in the Arab Super Cup semi-finals and won 2-0 . In which Ronaldo contributed 1 goal and 1 assist.

Not only did Ronaldo help Al Nassr reach the final, he also set a record by becoming the first player in world football history to score in 23 consecutive seasons.

The above record started from Ronaldo’s first season playing football at his childhood club Sporting, he scored 2 goals against Moreirense on October 7, 2002, these were also the first 2 goals in his professional career.

Since then, Ronaldo has scored in 23 consecutive seasons, a feat achieved during his time playing for Sporting, Man Utd (2 terms), Real Madrid, Juventus and currently Al Nassr.

Last season at Al Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo scored 35 goals in the Saudi Pro League alone (50 goals in all competitions), thereby breaking the record for goals scored in a season . In addition, last season the Portuguese superstar also contributed 11 assists to his teammates.

However, what Ronaldo showed could not help Al Nassr win the 2023/24 Saudi Pro League, they only finished in 2nd place after Al Hilal, 14 points behind.

With the victory over Al Taawoun, Al Nassr will meet Al Hilal in the Arab Super Cup final on August 17. If they overcome this final hurdle, the championship will be a great spiritual motivation for Ronaldo and his teammates to be determined to win the Saudi Pro League this season.
