— Former Impact champion Tessa Blanchard is now confirmed to be returning to TNA, reported by multiple sources. Perhaps the most telling sign is that CMLL confirmed on X that the women’s tag team titles that Blanchard held with Lluvia have been vacated as a result of Blanchard leaving the promotion. New champs will be crowned in 2025 it is the second time in recent months that the belts have had to be vacated (last when Stephanie Vaquer left for WWE).
— As for Blanchard joining TNA, Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that she has signed a deal to return “imminently” where she will engage in a short program with Jordynne Grace, before Grace leaves for WWE once her contract expires (believed to be in early 2025).
— Fightfulselect.com then reported that talent in all three major promotions (WWE, AEW and TNA) were in “disbelief” that TNA has gone in this direction and that news of Blanchard coming back was kept away from the entire roster as well as some key staff who would normally have known. It is believed this was obviously intention in order to minimize the risk of an internal backlash. TNA officials are hopeful that while she has few friends left in the company, that there is enough new turnover of wrestlers who haven’t soured on her. Furthermore, it is expected that Blanchard will be on her “best behavior” given this is a major opportunity for her after her last stint with TNA/Impact ended on an extremely sour note.
— The report adds that the plan to bring back Blanchard has been in the works for at least two weeks and was apparently the decision of a key person in Anthem even though they were warned against the ramification of such a move. As noted above, the plan is for Blanchard to work as a heel with Jordynne Grace and win the feud – a feud that Grace had apparently pushed back on.
