The agent of Italy international Federico Chiesa and several representatives from Juventus, including sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli, are currently holding a meeting over dinner to discuss the possibility of a transfer to Liverpool.
Chiesa agent and Juventus directors meet after Liverpool approach
Chiesa’s agent, Fali Ramadani has been spotted having a meeting with Giuntoli, Juve’s scouting director Stefano Stefanelli and chief of football staff Giuseppe Pompilio late on Tuesday night.
The meeting comes after reported interest from Premier League outfit Liverpool, who are hoping to wrap up a deal for Chiesa before the end of the summer transfer window later this week.
Chiesa is available for a fee of €15m after being told by Thiago Motta that he would not be part of the first team plans for the 2024-25 season. The 26-year-old has been training individually at Continassa.
The former Fiorentina winger has fallen even further down the Juve pecking order in recent days, following the arrivals of Nico Gonzalez from Fiorentina and Francisco Conceicao on loan from Porto. The emergence of Samuel Mbangula has not helped, either.
Recently, there has also been interest from Barcelona and Hansi Flick has even contacted the player directly, but the Catalan giants would have to sell players first before that move becomes a possibility. Barca have not sent a formal offer to Juventus as of yet.
