Cardi B won’t face charges after a fan accused her of throwing a microphone at them during a Las Vegas concert.
“After a thorough review of this case and with the consultation from the Clark County District Attorney’s Office, this case has been closed as having insufficient evidence. No charges will be filed in relation to this case,” Las Vegas Metropolitan Police told CNN.
Video shows Cardi throwing her microphone into the crowd at a concert last weekend after a fan threw a cup of liquid at her. One concertgoer filed a police report, but the investigation has been dropped, according to TMZ.
“This afternoon we were notified by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept., that as a result of their investigation, there will be NO charges against Cardi. On behalf of Cardi, we appreciate the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s diligent and prompt resolution of this matter, Cardi’s lawyers, Drew Findling, David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld, told TMZ.

The video of Cardi B retaliating against a concertgoer who threw a drink at her onstage has been seen ’round the world — now, the attendee has “reported a battery” to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
“According to the victim, she was attending an event on July 29, 2023, at a property located in the 3500 block of Las Vegas Boulevard,” the Las Vegas police told the Los Angeles Times. “During a concert, she was struck by an item that was thrown from the stage.”
Neither Cardi B nor the thrown microphone were specified by the LVMPD, but the date and location of the incident coincide with the rapper’s concert, notes LAT. “The incident has been documented on a police report and no arrest or citations have been issued,” police told the publication on July 31.

Other fan videos from the Las Vegas concert have provided additional perspective to the situation, with the show DJ and Cardi B herself encouraging fans to splash her with water or their drinks. “Woo, that sh*t feel good,” said Cardi in the video, before striking a pose and letting more fans splash water at her. After throwing the microphone, Cardi addressed the crowd and clarified: “I said splash my p***y, not my face, b*tch.”

Cardi B has become the latest artist to be faced with unruly fans during a live performance — but the rapper wasn’t having any of it.
During a performance at Drai’s Beachclub in Las Vegas on Saturday, a concertgoer threw a cup of liquid at Cardi B while she was performing on stage, splashing her. Instead of shrugging it off, Cardi B threw her microphone at the person in the crowd, bringing the performance to a pause.
In multiple videos from the incident, Cardi B appears to be yelling something at the person who threw water at her. After she tossed the mic, security stepped in and escorted the concert attendee out.

Cardi kept her cool as the person was being taken out of the venue, and stood on stage in her all-orange outfit, patiently waiting to continue performing her hit song, “Bodak Yellow.” Cardi later retweeted a video of her throwing the microphone with the caption, “Jealous Ass B*tch,” a nod to her latest song, “Jealousy” featuring Offset. She also tweeted, “WATER AND GAS INCLUDED …Literally #Jealousy.”
Kelsea Ballerini paused her show last month after a fan threw a bracelet at her and struck her in the eye. The country singer briefly left the stage before returning to finish the concert. Pink also experienced some strange fan interactions during her show — a fan threw their mother’s ashes on stage during one of the singer’s concerts in London, and was also handed a full wheel of cheese at another show.
