This week, the Grammy winner returns to the throne on one specific roster she’s ruled in the past with one of her most recent champions.
On the latest edition of the Latin Digital Song Sales chart, Cardi appears at No. 1. The superstar doesn’t have a new smash out, though. Instead, she finds her way back to the summit with a tune that topped the tally for the first time only a few weeks ago.
Cardi sits at No. 1 on this week’s Latin Digital Song Sales chart with “Punteria.” That single doesn’t just lift to the loftiest spot on the list, it returns to the ranking…and now has nowhere else to go but down.
“Punteria” was not present on the Latin Digital Song Sales chart last week, though it’s also not new to the ranking of the bestselling Spanish-language tunes in the country. The single reappears on the list and wastes no time in returning to the throne for a third nonconsecutive turn atop the tally.
Cardi is not alone in this latest win, “Punteria” is fronted by Shakira, who recruited the rapper to help make the single a big hit. The song is featured on the Latin favorite’s latest album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, “Punteria” is one of Cardi’s three No. 1 hits on the Latin Digital Song Sales chart. She first ruled the roost in 2018 as a featured artist on the single “Taki Taki.” That tune, which is led by DJ Snake and which also credits
“Punteria” was released as the eighth single from Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran. The tune arrived on the same day as the full-length, and it went on to become one of the highest-charting tracks from the project upon its arrival. It was a success on many of Billboard’s Latin tallies, and it even reached the lower registers of the Hot 100.
