Cardi B proved that she really does love those Balenciagas — and she’ll strut down the runway to prove it.
The rapper and notable couture connoisseur made her runway debut on Saturday during Balenciaga‘s extravagant fashion show in Los Angeles. The Spanish fashion house brought out huge names and longtime brand representatives including Kim Kardashian, Nicole Kidman, Joey King, Kendall Jenner, and more.
Set on Windsor Boulevard in broad daylight, Cardi B surprised the audience by walking with the other models down the palm tree-lined street with an effortless swagger fit for a catwalk. The rapper held on to the floor-length, blue faux fur coat she adorned, which draped over Balenciaga’s signature black leggings and heels.
Cardi’s hair and makeup were the picture of elegance. She resembled an old Hollywood starlet with a bold, deep red lip — her hair pulled back tightly to showcase the row of diamonds around her neck.

The artist later posted on Instagram Stories saying that she was sick and “pushed through” for the show. “I feel like sh*t,” she said. Despite not feeling well, Cardi B hosted an after-party celebration for Balenciaga’s Los Angeles show.
Cardi B and Balenciaga have maintained a relationship since 2020 when the artist was named the new face of the luxury fashion house. She famously references Balenciaga in her hit song, “I Like It,” mentioning the sock-like shoes the brand made. Cardi, along with other celebs including Kim Kardashian, have stuck with the brand even during their controversial ad campaign in 2022 which featured children holding teddy bears in bondage and harnesses.
The LA show was a standout special and was in partnership with the notoriously expensive grocery store, Erewhon. The brand even handed out Erewhon x Balenciaga-branded grocery bags to guests, and Kardashian took the opportunity to pose with one. Other celebrities attending the show included Cole Sprouse, Lisa Rinna, Brooklyn Beckham and wife Nicola Peltz, Natasha Lyonne, Rachel Sennott, and more.
