One month after filing for divorce, Cardi and Offset decided to get back together. In June 2021, Cardi B announced that she was expecting their second baby. They welcomed their son, Wave, the following September. (Offset has three older children from past relationships.)

The couple had their first date at Super Bowl LI at NRG Stadium in Houston. “I told my publicist to tell him, because I was very shy, ‘Listen, if we gonna go on a public date together, you cannot make me look like a dumbass after this,’” Cardi recalled to GQ in April 2018. “And he was like, ‘No, I really like her. I’m really feeling her.’ We was talking, we was making out. We didn’t f–k. After the Super Bowl, it got really serious because I feel, like, all eyes on us.”

Offset proposed to the “Bodak Yellow” rapper on stage at Power 99’s Powerhouse concert in Philadelphia. She later showed off her 8-carat engagement ring on Instagram. “Jesus Christ I’m so emotional, @offsetyrn I loveee you so much,” she captioned the photo. “Thank you for seeing the potential in me since you met me … I can’t wait to spend FOREVAAAA with you. Lets make a lot shmoney and love together.”

Multiple videos that surfaced online appeared to show the “Bad and Boujee” MC in bed with other women. He refused to discuss the allegations in an interview with Rolling Stone, saying, “It’s my real life. It ain’t no gig. It ain’t no f–king game, you know what I’m saying?” A source later told Us Weekly exclusively that Cardi had “zero intention of leaving” Offset despite the scandal.
