Blake Lively and Taylor Swift’s friendship is as strong as ever amid the It Ends With Us star’s legal drama with Justin Baldoni.

Speculation of a rift between Swift, 35, and Lively, 37, began when a report claimed that the Eras Tour performer had “taken a step back” from her pal after she was apparently mentioned in the lawsuit Baldoni, 41, filed earlier this month. Despite the rumors, a source exclusively tells Us Weekly that it “isn’t true” that Swift and Lively have drifted.

“There’s no truth that this has hurt their relationship,” a second insider close to the pair exclusively told Us Weekly. “They are still close friends.”

Months after sparking rumors of a rift on the set of It Ends With Us, Lively filed a lawsuit in December 2024 accusing Baldoni of sexual harassment. Baldoni denied the allegations at the time. He has since fired back with a filing of his own, suing Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, as well as her publicist, Leslie Sloane, for $400 million.

In the paperwork filed earlier this month, Baldoni seemingly referenced Swift in a text message conversation about It Ends With Us while addressing Lively’s changes to the now infamous rooftop scene in the film.

“Was working on rooftop scene today, I really love what you did. It really does hep [sic] a lot. Makes it so much more fun and interesting. (And I would have felt that way without Ryan and Taylor),” Baldoni’s texts read alongside a winking face emoji. “You really are a talent across the board. Really excited nd [sic] grateful to do this together.”

Justin Baldoni seemingly referred to Blake Lively’s friend, Taylor Swift, in a text message conversation about It Ends With Us. In Baldoni’s new $400 million lawsuit against Lively, 37, which was obtained by Us Weekly on Thursday, January 16, Baldoni appeared to mention Swift, 34, and Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, while discussing Lively’s changes for […]

Per the lawsuit, Lively allegedly replied but did not address the mentions of Reynolds, 48, or Swift. “That’s very appreciated. And means a lot. I’m deeply inspired by the films and we’re gonna make outside of the success of the book,” she responded per the docs. “We have such an opportunity to not surprise people who love the book but reach an even bigger audience by making an undeniably dynamic and also commercial film.”

Baldoni also claimed in the docs that an unnamed “megacelebrity” got involved in what went down behind-the-scenes. (It is unclear who the celebrity friend is.)

Baldoni claimed that Lively sent him a draft of the rooftop scene that “dramatically differed” from the original. While he was “hesitant” about the changes, the lawsuit alleged he “thanked Lively for her passion and diplomatically told her that the scene would likely end up being somewhere between the original version and Lively’s version.” Lively reportedly did not reply to him for “multiple days.”

“Of course, didn’t feel great for me. Or [another megacelebrity friend and Ryan Reynolds]. To have my passion praised instead of my specific contribution,” Lively’s alleged message wrote.

Lively’s legal team reacted to the lawsuit, sharing, in part, “Their response to sexual harassment allegations: she wanted it, it’s her fault. Their justification for why this happened to her: look what she was wearing. In short, while the victim focuses on the abuse, the abuser focuses on the victim. The strategy of attacking the woman is desperate, it does not refute the evidence in Ms. Lively’s complaint, and it will fail.”
