She is notoriously private about her life and doesn’t get caught up in the scandals or drama that her sisters are oh so famous for, either. As the daughter of Kris and Caitlyn Jenner (who are now divorced), she’s rarely the subject of headlines with her sisters unless it’s about her red carpet fashion looks … oh, and that controversial Pepsi commercial.
We took a look at what sets Kendall apart from her superstar household.
1. Her naturally good looks
In 2017, she was slammed with plastic surgery rumours on her plumper pout, which she strenuously denied. “It’s all so exhausting,” she said, per British media. “As a model, why would I have my face reconstructed? It doesn’t even make sense. It’s crazy because sometimes I feel like people just want me to lose.”
She’s previously criticised her sisters for taking drastic procedures under the knife on Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Plus, like many celebrities, she’s also been caught in the occasional Photoshop mishap.
2. Her absence from The Kardashians show
The Hulu series aired on April 14, with new episodes streaming every Thursday. But it didn’t come as too much of a surprise that Kendall and her sister Kylie weren’t in the new series much, since it was the same case with KUWTK. The Jenner sisters were never the focal point, with Kim, Khloé and Kourtney taking the spotlight. And to be honest, it doesn’t seem like the two are interested in being on the programme when they’ve got their own things going on. Kendall actually missed the premiere too, which sent fans into speculation mode, but it was later revealed that she was just too sick to attend.
3. There’s been much less drama in her life
She’s even kept on good terms with her sisters’ multiple exes. In February this year, Kendall was spotted hanging out with Kim’s ex-husband Kanye “Ye” West and Chaney Jones, together with Hailey Bieber and Khloé’s ex French Montana. The Victoria’s Secret model is also pals with Kourtney’s ex Younes Bendjima and Scott Disick, with whom she’s been close since she was a child. The fact of the matter is that she simply “doesn’t care” about the drama.
“It’s a lot. I don’t know how I stay out of it, I guess I just – I don’t really care,” she said on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
4. She’s in no rush to have a baby
In an interview with Daily Pop on whether she’s faced any pressure from anyone to have kids, the model responded, “Mum, 100 per cent.” She added, “She will just randomly text me and be like, ‘I think it’s time,’ and I’m like, ‘Is this not up to me?!’” In response, Kris said, “Just your friendly reminder!”, per Cosmopolitan.
It doesn’t look like it’ll be any time soon though, with Kendall telling Vogue she’s “ready to wait” until her late 20s.
5. Her career as a supermodel
6. Her besties are celebrities with similar backgrounds
As a Hollywood socialite, you’re going to have some famous friends. For Kendall, her inner circle mainly comprises of celebrities with similar backgrounds, famously her BFFs Gigi and Bella Hadid, Hailey Baldwin and Cara Delevingne. She’s also buddies with other high-profile celebs like Karlie Kloss, Willow Smith, Alessandra Ambrosio, Jaden Smith, Justin Bieber and many, many more.
Meanwhile, Kylie’s friendship circle contrasts, with models like Stassie Karanikolaou, former bestie Jordyn Woods – before she betrayed the family – and controversial beauty YouTuber James Charles.
7. She “doesn’t fit in” and has a different vibe
A bit of an eye roller, but Kendall has acknowledged she doesn’t fit in with the family in different ways. She has said that she’s not “curvy” like them. “My sisters are a lot curvier than me. They have boobs and I don’t have boobs. Growing up being this little twiggy girl, I saw my sisters and always thought, ‘Oh no, am I supposed to be sexy like them?” she told The Telegraph.
Generally more introverted, Kendall’s personality is a stark contrast to her famous sisters too. She said, “I’m not necessarily a lot like them. I like that I have a different vibe to everyone. I like to do different things. And that’s OK.”
