Because of Messi, Real Madrid issued an unprecedented ban in history

Real Madrid have a strange rule regarding Lionel Messi, as the club’s shirts are not allowed to print the Argentine striker’s name.

Barcelona’s most glorious years were associated with the legendary Lionel Messi, and at that time, the team that suffered heavy losses was Real Madrid.

Looking back at the past, Los Blancos have been breached by the Argentine striker a lot, which is why El Pulga is not a new favorite name for the club as well as the fans.

However, one thing that perhaps not many people imagine is that Real Madrid has a strict rule about team uniforms – when Messi’s name is banned from being printed on the shirts of players and fans. This has been spreading on social networks in recent days and has surprised many people.

It would be strange for any Real Madrid fan to want a T-shirt of their favourite team with Lionel Messi’s name on the back. However, it is clear that the Whites foresaw the anomaly and acted to prevent it from happening.

The thing is, a popular Spanish streamer has confirmed it. In the past few hours, TheGrefg posted a video on social media recounting his experience with the issue. With the sole purpose of taking the test, the influencer walked into a Real Madrid store, bought a jersey, and when choosing a name, he tried to write “Messi”.

However, while the site allows TheGrefg to submit any name, not just current Real players but any kind of name, it does not consider Messi’s name to be valid. But of course, to circumvent the system, Grefg made a new attempt and decided to write “Messi” but with spaces between the letters. That is: “MESS I”.

And surprisingly, the site deemed it valid, so TheGrefg was able to complete the purchase. A video of his first experience quickly went viral on social media, but it didn’t have a happy ending. A few days later, with the video going viral, Real Madrid’s team decided to cancel the purchase and refund the corresponding amount.

But it didn’t end there, TheGrefg made a further attempt to purchase his Messi jersey, only to discover that Real Madrid had also blocked the ability to detach it as he had ordered when purchasing it earlier.

“You can say we asked them to put a new restriction on the page, but now it doesn’t let you ask for it with the word Messi having a space,” TheGrefg said .

It seems that the Royal Spanish team does not like the name Messi, because they are one of the favorite “prey” of the 2022 World Cup champion . The legend born in 1987 has scored a total of 26 goals and made 14 assists after 45 matches against Real Madrid.
