After the famous hit Here’s To Never Growing Up was voted this year’s song of the summer, Avril immediately released her second, equally exciting single called Rock N Roll . She posted the first behind-the-scenes photos of the new MV on her Twitter.
It’s easy to see that this time the female rock chick will transform into an army chick when she wears the typical khaki army outfit with countless guns and ammunition around her. Unlike the “masculinized” image of Katy Perry when she joined the army in Part of Me , Avril still keeps her shiny blonde hair flowing down to one side. However, it does not take away Avril’s “cool” look at all, but also highlights her personality.
Rock N Roll is a collaboration between Avril and producers Max Martin, Chad Kroeger, David Hodges, Richard Goransson, Jacob Hindlin and Peter Svensson. It can be said that this song still carries Avril’s rebellious personality even though she just got married not long ago. It has a pop rock feel with an electronic guitar solo, heavy applause and a fast beat that reminds us of Queen’s We Will Rock You .
