Arsenal have made Viktor Gyokeres their main striker target for the summer transfer window. The Swede’s contract at Sporting CP has a release clause of £85m 👀💸

Arsenal is expected to add a forward to its attack in the last few weeks of this transfer window. Viktor Gyokeres of Sporting Lisbon is one of the players who is being talked about. Although he may need to pay a high price of £85 million to finish his deal, the Swede is showing that he is worth every penny.

He is right where he left off last season, when he scored 43 goals and set up 15 others. He has already scored one goal and set up three others in the first two games of this season.

In Sporting CP’s 3-1 win over Rio Ave on Saturday night, he scored his first goal of the season and showed what a complete player he is by setting up two goals and controlling play, as shown by the stats.

If the Arsenal scouts who have been following the Swede watched that game, which showed why he was the most useful player in Europe’s top leagues last season, they should be telling the Arsenal executives that Arteta’s move should be the main thing they do this summer.

The 26-year-old forward has continued to do well in Portugal since leaving Championship team Coventry last summer. He has the talent, speed, and goal-scoring skills that make him a great fit for Arteta’s project.

Arsenal’s attack hasn’t worked well lately, but Gyokeres will definitely fix that and make the whole group better, which will help Kai Havertz reach his full potential. Now that Arteta has a proven scorer on board, he can finally say that his attack is the best it has ever been.
