Arsenal Fans Severely Disappointed with Oleksandr Zinchenko After Ukraine’s Loss to Romania at Euro 2024

In the rare time playing as a left-back for the national team, Oleksandr Zinchenko was thoroughly exploited by the opponent.

Oleksandr Zinchenko entered this match with the support of his wife Vlada Zinchenko and daughter in the stands.

Ukraine is a team that is highly appreciated for its spirit of not giving up. They defeated Israel and Bosnia & Herzegovina in the qualifying round to qualify for EURO 2024.

Contrary to usual, Oleksandr Zinchenko was deployed as a left-back, instead of a midfielder.

The Romanian players seemed to study this weakness of Ukraine very well and continuously exploited it for 90 minutes.

Romania’s attacks on the right flank were dangerous, while Zinchenko, who is not known for his defensive skills, looked confused.

He lost the ball 9 times and worse, he let his spearhead Dennis Man constantly stir the ball.

Dennis Man pocketed 2 assists, along with 3 key passes and Zinchenko was almost unable to stop this player from dribbling.

Sky Sports expert Ben Grounds immediately criticized the Arsenal player.

Grounds said: “Too many Romanian players play well on the right wing, where Zinchenko holds, a position that originally belonged to Vitalli Mykolenko, who was injured. Zinchenko was no longer used by Arsenal at the end of the season and perhaps Mr. Edward Iordănescu saw and exploited the weaknesses of Ukraine’s defense.”

Losing 0-3 in the opening match, Zinchenko and his teammates must try very hard if they want to continue.
