Despite a challenging season with limited playing time, Arsenal‘s Emile Smith Rowe is reportedly determined to stay at the club and fight for his place in Mikel Arteta‘s squad.
This comes amidst reports that Arsenal are open to offers for several homegrown players, including Smith Rowe, in order to raise funds and create space in the squad.

The 23-year-old attacking midfielder has struggled to secure regular minutes in recent seasons, making just 13 league appearances last season without scoring a goal. Injuries have also hampered his development, preventing him from reaching the potential he showed when he burst onto the scene from the Arsenal academy.
While clubs like Crystal Palace and Fulham have shown interest in Smith Rowe, the player himself is reportedly keen to remain at the Emirates. He believes in his abilities and is confident that he can regain his form and contribute to the team’s success.

Arsenal’s willingness to listen to offers for Smith Rowe is primarily motivated by financial considerations. Selling the homegrown player would allow the club to record a “pure profit” in their Profit and Sustainability (P&S) calculations, giving them more flexibility in the transfer market.
The situation is further complicated by the uncertainty surrounding other players, such as Eddie Nketiah and Reiss Nelson, who are also considering their futures at the club.
For now, Smith Rowe’s future at Arsenal hangs in the balance. While the club is open to offers, the player’s desire to stay could potentially complicate things.
