According to Hollywood Reporter on November 4 (local time), singer Ariana Grande will play the main role in the new movie Wicked, adapted from the Broadway musical that has earned over 1 billion USD in revenue.
In the new movie Wicked , music star Ariana Grande will transform into the good witch Glinda, who is close friends with the Western witch Elphaba (played by Cynthia Erivo). The director of the work is filmmaker Jon M. Chu – “father” of the blockbuster Crazy Rich Asians (Vietnamese title: Son of the Super Rich Asians ).

Universal has planned to produce Wicked since 2004, but delayed until now to announce the main actor. The film is inspired by the famous musical of the same name, which debuted on Broadway in 2003, becoming one of three musicals with a revenue of over 1 billion USD.
