Ariana Grande may be releasing new music at the speed of light this year, but the singer-songwriter doesn’t seem to have any plans for her sixth studio album — yet, that is.
Ari took to her Instagram Stories on Friday, May 10, to update fans on her musical endeavors. “I always say Imma take a break and not make songs but then I remember that making songs is literally the thing that brings my heart and soul SOOO MUCH JOY and SOLACE and I’m right back where I was,” she said, adding that she is “so happy” at the moment.
However, that doesn’t necessarily mean a new album is in the cards for anytime soon. “I have no plans for music (well not for ag6),” Ariana added.
Still, as she noted, Ariana is always creating, and from her IG story, it seems as though she has a summer bop planned. “I can’t wait for everybody to find out what we’ve been working on,” Ari wrote, tagging producers Savan Kotecha and Ilya Salmanzadeh. In another slide, she remarked “I love the song we made last night,” adding that she wants to drop it this summer. (We’re in full support of this!)
Of course, Ariana has a pretty good excuse not to be working on an album right now; the singer has an arguably jam-packed schedule. Between traveling the globe on her Sweetener World Tour, headlining Coachella 2019, and becoming the newest face of Givenchy, it’s clear that Ari has plenty on her plate at the moment. Whenever she’s ready to share AG6 with the world, her fans will be waiting — and we have no doubt that it will be full of epic songs, just like her previous albums.
