Ariana Grande and the ‘huge’ records that not everyone can do

You know Ariana Grande as the most prominent female artist in the world music scene today, but you will be surprised to know that Ariana is also known as the “Billboard record holder” with a series of extremely “huge” achievements that have gone down in history thanks to her beautiful straight landing at No.1 Billboard with Rain On Me recently!

The first artist to have 4 songs debut at No.1

Ariana Grande is not the star with the most No.1s, but she is the first to have 4 hits that topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart as soon as they were released. Those 4 songs are Thank U, Next, 7 Rings, Stuck With U in collaboration with Justin Bieber released in early May 2020 and Rain On Me – a collaboration with Lady Gaga that is “sweeping” all charts, also just released at the end of May 2020.

The first artist to debut 2 No.1 songs in less than a month

Also released just this past May, the two hits Stuck With U and Rain On Me dominated the Hot 100 chart on May 23 and June 6, 2020, respectively, for just 2 weeks. Ariana will probably hold this “huge” record for a long time because it’s hard to beat!

Second female star to debut more than 1 No.1 hit in a year

Before Ariana Grande, Mariah Carey was the female artist who made history with 2 No.1s in one year, including Fantasy and One Sweet Day in collaboration with Boyz II Men. Ariana is truly the best successor of “Moo’s wife”!

Third artist to debut more than 1 No.1 hit in a year

If we consider all artists, besides Mariah Carey, only Drake has done this with his two hits God’s Plan and Nice For What debuting at the top of the Hot 100 in 2018. This year’s list has added Ariana Grande with an extremely impressive “joining the group” with Stuck With U and Rain On Me.

The first artist to debut a series of No.1 hits for many consecutive years

For 3 consecutive years from 2018 to 2020, Ariana Grande has debuted 4 songs at No.1, starting with her first No.1 hit Thank U, Next until her most recent single Rain On Me.
