TNA champ Joe Hendry enters Royal Rumble, gets tossed by Roman Reigns

Two TNA Knockouts champions have entered WWE’s women’s Royal Rumble match. But no Impact/TNA World Heavyweight champion had even entered the men’s Rumble.

Maybe they just didn’t believe enough.

A lot of people in Indianapolis’ Lucas Oil Stadium believed, and someone must have said his name. Because as the 15th entrant in the 2025 men’s Royal Rumble, Joe Hendry appeared… with the TNA belt he won a couple weeks ago on Genesis (off of Nic “Dolph Ziggler” Nemeth, who got his name dropped on the WWE broadcast) slung over his shoulder.

Hendry was a frequent visitor to NXT last year before the TNA partnership became official, but this was his first time on a main roster stage — something Michael Cole and Pat McAfee were eager to point out when Jacob Fatu planted Hendry early in his run. It certainly made it clear what was going to happen when he stood toe-to-toe with Roman Reigns.

Not much, but a nice moment for Hendry, his fans, and TNA.
