R&B artist drops new album, announces Denver concert at Empower Field

DENVER (KDVR) — An award-winning and popular rhythm and blues artist, who recently dropped a new album, announced that he will stop for a performance in Denver on a cross-country stadium tour this summer.

The Weeknd dropped his new album, “Hurry Up Tomorrow,” on Thursday and announced “The Weeknd: After Hours Til Dawn 2025 Tour” on Friday.

The Weeknd has won several awards, including but not limited to, Grammy Awards, Billboard Music Awards, MTV Awards and Juno Awards. According to a press release, he is the first artist to ever have 27 songs each over 1 billion streams on Spotify.

The tour kicks off in May. He is bringing his award-winning performances to Empower Field at Mile High on Saturday, June 21.

The show will feature multi-platinum rapper Playboi Carti and special guest Mike Dean. According to a press release from LiveNation, The Weeknd will put on a “never-before-seen production,” playing hits from the new album and his entire discography.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Feb. 7 at 10 a.m., or fans can sign up for the artist presale by Feb. 4 at 9 a.m. and purchase tickets on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 10 a.m. Customers can also use a Cash App Card to purchase presale tickets beginning at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 6.

According to the release, $1 from each ticket sold will be donated to support kids in vulnerable communities worldwide.

The Weeknd will also be starring alongside Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan in a new film sharing his new album name, “Hurry Up Tomorrow.” The movie is set to premiere in theatres on May 16.
