Ivisic out against Maryland

CHAMPAIGN — Illinois will be without starting center Tomislav Ivisic for Thursday night’s game against Maryland. Both freshman forward Will Riley and junior guard Tre White are also listed as questionable for the game.

Ivisic played in Sunday’s loss at Michigan State while battling a case of strep throat. The 7-foot-1 center was three days into his course of antibiotics at that point. The Vodice, Croatia, native has started all 18 games so far this season and is averaging 13 points, 8.5 rebounds and two assists.

Riley is coming off his best performance in Big Ten play with 19 points in the loss at Michigan State and is averaging 11 points this season. White has also started every game for the Illini and is the team’s fourth-leading scorer at 10.5 points per game.
