A official statement from Saif Ali Khan’s team confirmed that the actor is “out of danger” after the surgery on Thursday afternoon (January 16, 2025).
“Saif Ali Khan has come out of surgery and is out of danger. He is currently in recovery and the doctors are monitoring his progress. All family members are safe and the police is investigating the incident. We would like to thank Dr. Niraj Uttamani, Dr. Nitin Dange, Dr. Leena Jain and the team at Lilavati hospital,” it added.
On behalf of actor Saif, his team extended gratitude to “all his fans and well-wishers for their prayers and thoughts during this time.”
Forensic team collects key evidence
Speaking to media, Forensic department officer said, “We have collected the fingerprints from the spot, rest our senior officer will brief.”
After questioning all the housekeepers and staff at Saif Ali Khan’s Bandra residence, the police suspect that the attacker appears to be someone familiar to one of the housekeepers working there.

Bandra Police statement on knife attack on Saif Ali Khan
Bandra Police issued a statement saying an unknown person was found in the bedroom of Saif Ali Khan’s son Jehangir at their residence.
The house help, Mrs. Ariyama Phillips alias Lima, raised an alarm, following which actor Saif Ali Khan intervened. The unknown person attacked Saif Ali Khan with a sharp object, injuring him. The domestic help was also injured in the incident, the statement added.

After Saif Ali Khan suffered injuries during a burglary attempt at his house, his son Ibrahim Ali Khan rushed him to the hospital along with one member from the actor’s family.
The 23-year-old Ibrahim, Saif’s son from his first marriage to Amrita Singh, rushed to the Satguru Sharan building in Mumbai where the actor stays with his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan. He is learnt to have taken Saif to the Lilavati Hospital by 3:30 am. The incident took place at 2:30 am, according to Saif’s team.

NCP (SP) leader Supriya Sule on Thursday (January 16, 2025) expressed concern over the attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan by an intruder at his home in Mumbai and termed the incident as “worrisome”.
Ms. Sule, who is a friend of Saif Ali Khan’s wife Kareena Kapoor Khan’s family, said the actor was hospitalised and was safe.
Ms. Sule spoke to Saif Ali Khan’s sister-in-law Karisma Kapoor over phone in the presence of mediapersons at Baramati in Pune but declined to share details of the conversation.
“Saif is safe and in hospital. Wait for the official statement from the family and the police,” Ms. Sule told reporters.

Actor Saif Ali Khan injured in knife attack by intruder
Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was injured during a robbery attempt at his Bandra West residence in Mumbai in the early hours of Thursday (January 16, 2025). He is undergoing surgery in Lilavati hospital to treat the stab wounds, the hospital confirmed.
According to Mumbai police, an unidentified person allegedly entered Saif’s residence around 2.30 a.m. During the incident, Saif reportedly suffered injuries in a confrontation involving a knife. He was taken to Lilavati Hospital for treatment.
Dr. Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital, said that Saif Ali Khan was brought in at 3.30 a.m. Dr. Uttamani said that Saif has six stabs, two of which are deep. One wound is close to his spine.
