Liam Payne’s last post before his death
Liam Payne shared his last post on social media with his girlfriend, just minutes before he died at the age of 31 after “falling off the balcony”.
According to TMZ, the former One Direction member fell from the third floor of the CasaSur Palermo hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina at around 5 p.m. on October 16 (local time).
The star’s last Snapchat post shows him happily posing with Kate Cassidy. In the previous photo, Kate shared his 30th birthday last year.

Subsequent posts about Liam Payne’s last moments showed him enjoying brunch in his hotel room. The singer revealed that he and his girlfriend “woke up at 1 p.m. every day” and decided to choose Forrest Gump as their Halloween costume.
Other selfies have the captions: “Great day in Argentina”, “It’s nice to have time to rest”…
A source from TMZ said Payne and Kate had flown to South America together, but she returned home on October 14 and he went to the hotel alone.
After hearing an emergency call from the hotel staff. Police and rescuers arrived but could not catch up. Payne died after falling from a balcony. According to the authorities, the fall led to serious injuries that could not be treated. Before falling, the hotel staff said he was mentally unstable. The investigation into the singer’s death is still ongoing.
Fans pity, artists condole
Outside the CasaSur Palermo hotel, where a crowd gathered outside, dozens of police and rescue teams cordoned off the area.
“This neighborhood is very chaotic… There were a lot of police, some fans coming. It’s sad,” said the person who works near the hotel.
Violeta Antier, a fan of the band One Direction, told Reuters that she arrived shortly after receiving the news of Payne’s death:
“I saw him two weeks ago at a concert by Niall Horan (another member of One Direction). I see he’s fine.” Earlier this month, Payne attended a concert by former band member Niall Horan in Buenos Aires.
In the past, he has shared difficulties with mental health and alcohol use to cope with the pressure of fame.
Many celebrities have sent their condolences to the family of the late singer.
Singer Charlie Puth shared on Instagram Story a series of photos taken with Payne: “I’m in shock. Liam has always been very nice to me. He was one of the first major artists I got to work with. I can’t believe he’s gone… I’m really sad right now, I hope he rests in peace.”

“It is very sad to hear of Liam Payne’s passing. Sending love and condolences to his family and loved ones. Rest in peace, my friend,” Paris Hilton said.
Irish singer duo Jedward, former contestants of The X Factor, posted a message: “Sending strength to Cheryl and his son Bear, and the entire One Direction family, please rest in peace Liam Payne.”
British model-singer-songwriter Karen Elson wrote: “Rest in peace Liam. I really hope this is not true. My heart goes out to his family and especially his son.”
DJ Fat Tony was saddened by the tragic news: “God bless you, my friend. Rest in peace. I’m really sad, I can’t believe you’re gone, it’s a great loss, a great man.”
