Scooter Braun is a producer who bought Taylor Swift’s former record label and sold the rights to the singer’s first six albums for $300 million to Shamrock Holdings. This caused a deep feud between the two.
Recently, when sharing with the media, Scooter Braun said that he hopes people will forget the long-standing feud between him and pop superstar Taylor Swift. This conflict is so famous that it has become the subject of a two-part documentary called Taylor Swift vs Scooter Braun: Bad Blood which aired this summer.
“I saw that movie recently. However, before that, I didn’t plan to watch it because I thought it would be like other shocking works. I was almost silent and ignored things like this. But my parents called me and they said they had seen that movie and thought I should watch it. So I watched,” Scooter Braun shared at the Bloomberg Screentime event just held in Los Angeles, USA.

The conflict between the two famous figures in the world music industry began in 2019 when Scooter Braun’s Ithaca Holdings acquired Scott Borchetta’s record label Big Machine Records – Taylor Swift’s former company. However, at that time, the singer born in 1989 said that she was not informed in advance about this sale and once wrote a long letter, expressing her helplessness.
After that, Scooter Braun went on to sell albums to another label, Shamrock Holdings, for $300 million and still get a share of the revenue from Taylor Swift’s songs in the future. Facing the “hostile forces”, the singer did not flinch. She re-recorded her songs and re-released the album as Taylor’s Version.

“Look, 5 years have passed. I think it’s time for people to move on,” Scooter Braun said, adding that “there are a lot of things that have been misrepresented in the documents.”
“I think it’s important in any kind of conflict that people communicate directly with each other. Confronting in the media or in front of the world is not the right place. When they spend time in front of each other talking, they often find out that the monster on social media is not real and those conflicts probably won’t happen,” Scooter Braun said that the media has made his image evil.
When asked which artist he would choose to build a new company as a manager, Scooter Braun said, “I think the artist you should always bet on and is already a big star, is Taylor Swift.”
