The full cast for Jamie Lloyd’s Romeo & Juliet starring Tom Holland has been announced with a Doctor Who icon in the line up.
Martha Jones actor Freema Agyeman will appear in the sold-out West End show as the Nurse during its run at the Duke of York Theatre from May 11 to August 3.
She starred in the hit BBC show alongside David Tennant’s iteration of The Doctor and has credits in The Matrix Resurrections, Law And Order, and Sex And The City prequel The Carrie Diaries.
Spider-Man star Holland, who will play the titular Romeo, has found his Juliet in Bad Education’s Francesca Amewudah-Rivers in her West End debut.

Speaking ahead of the show, she said: “I’m so grateful to be making my West End debut as Juliet with The Jamie Lloyd Company. It’s a dream to be joining this team of incredible artists with Jamie at the helm. I’m excited to bring a fresh energy to this story alongside Tom, and to welcome new audiences to the theatre.”
Holland added in a statement: “Beyond excited to announce our cast for Romeo & Juliet. I can’t wait to get started and I know we’ll create something really special together.”
The cast is completed by Merlin and Bates Motel actor Tomiwa Edun (Capulet), Endeavour’s Ray Sesay (Tybalt), and Heartstopper star Nima Taleghani (Benvolio).
Joshua-Alexander Williams (Mercutio), Mia Jerome (Montague), Daniel Quinn-Toye (Paris), Michael Balogun (Friar), and Callum Heinrich and Kody Mortimer (Camera Operators) also star.
Jamie Lloyd commented: “I’m very excited to introduce the amazing cast who will be joining the incredible Tom Holland in Romeo & Juliet, including Francesca Amewudah-Rivers – an exceptional young artist.”

The shows have proved wildly popular, so much so that when tickets went on sale last month, ATG announced that tickets had sold out in the general sale after two hours of going live.
The Crowded Room star Holland took to Instagram to share his surprise over the sell-out event, posting a selfie alongside a heartfelt message for his followers.
“Really feeling the love today,” he wrote. “Sold out in 2hrs. I can’t believe it.
“Thank you to everyone who queued up and I’ll see you all soon. Much love and again, thank you thank you thank you.”
