Pop-punk princess Avril Lavigne has her fans buzzing with excitement as she just revealed plans for an epic North American tour this year featuring her greatest hits. Dubbed the “Avril Lavigne: The Greatest Hits Tour”, the 27-date trek kicks off May 22nd in Vancouver and runs through September 16th where it wraps up in Edmonton.
The live shows will highlight songs from across Lavigne’s 20-year career, including smash singles like “Complicated”, “Sk8er Boi”, “Girlfriend” and “Here’s To Never Growing Up”. Fans can expect to rock out and sing along to these nostalgic tracks as well as plenty of other fan favorites.
Joining Lavigne on select dates will be some special guests, including punk rockers Simple Plan and pop punk group All Time Low. Simple Plan toured with Lavigne way back on her very first tour, so she says “It’s only fitting we are doing it again!” Meanwhile, she’s been friends with All Time Low for years and is excited to finally share the stage with them.

The tour announcement comes shortly before Lavigne is set to celebrate the 20th anniversary of her hit sophomore record Under My Skin on May 25th. It looks like the timing of the tour wasn’t coincidental, allowing her to properly commemorate this career milestone on the road.
After kicking off in Canada, Lavigne will head to U.S. cities like Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Detroit, New York, and more. She’ll also be hitting up some music festivals in Europe this summer before returning to North America in August. Stops include Toronto, Buffalo, Nashville, Milwaukee, Chicago, and other major markets.

Fans rushed online Monday morning to snag tickets during the pre-sale, eager to secure spots at these unforgettable shows. Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, January 26th at 10am local venue time. Prices range from around $50 for nosebleed seats to several hundred for VIP packages. Superfans can purchase premium options like meet and greets.
According to Avril Lavigne, she simply can’t wait to celebrate her prolific career on stage surrounded by her friends, special guests, and most loyal supporters. She promises it’s going to be “too much stupid fun” running through the soundtrack of the last two decades. Judging by the explosive reaction online, fans wholeheartedly agree.
The Greatest Hits Tour comes on the heels of Lavigne’s latest album, February 2022’s “Love Sux”. She went back to her pop-punk roots on the record, collaborating with Travis Barker and Machine Gun Kelly. The sound was a callback to her early days.
