The image appeared in a video posted to YouTube on July 21. When the cameraman zoomed in for a closer look, the object appeared to have a chassis-like landing gear, but when zoomed in again, the gear had disappeared.
The person who posted the video wrote in the caption describing his footage: “I have never believed in UFOs before. When I filmed this unidentified object, at first I thought it was a drone, but it had no propellers. Then I thought it was a hot air balloon, but the trajectory was straight and something similar to landing gear appeared.”
The image of an object flying in the sky makes many people think of an alien “flying saucer”.
The person later uploaded another video, providing a somewhat clearer view of the object. Many people questioned the nature and origin of the object. Many people considered this to be “the clearest UFO video in history “. Many also noticed the way the object moved and thought that it changed shape (inflated or flattened) while hovering in the air.
Some people even claim that the object is actually a large star-shaped balloon, and that the part that looks like landing gear is due to the image being distorted by the camera angle.
Many people said the video quality was not good enough to make an accurate assessment. According to local media, the Brazilian Air Force was unable to verify the footage.
A Brazilian air force spokesman said they had “several hypotheses” but no “explanation” for the sighting at this time.
