Liverpool have today confirmed the departure of talented youngster Bobby Clark who has completed a £10m move to Red Bull Salzburg.
Clark is set for a reunion with former Liverpool assistant manager Pep Ljinders who stepped into his first managerial role at the Austrian side following his decision to depart the Anfield side at the same time as Jurgen Klopp.
The 19 year-old moved to Merseyside in 2021 following a move away from his boyhood club Newcastle United. The midfielder endured an impressive campaign last year with Liverpool’s first-team, making 12 appearances for Liverpool and continuing to find himself in Klopp’s plans. Clark was given starting roles in both the Premier League and Europa League, while also playing a key part in Liverpool’s memorable Carabao Cup final triumph over Chelsea.
The youngster has been linked with a move away from the club for the majority of the summer window and Ljinders’ interest in him has been of no secret.
