LeBron James’ son makes father proud after cardiac arrest

Bronny James – son of NBA star LeBron James has returned to the college basketball field, after nearly 5 months of rest due to cardiac arrest.

The Los Angeles Lakers have just made history, becoming the first champions of the NBA In-Season Tournament. LeBron James was the player who won the MVP title (most outstanding player of the tournament).

After winning the In-Season Tournament with the Lakers, “King James” rushed home for his son. The NBA’s top star wanted to participate in a special match that he once declared he would never miss, even if it clashed with the Lakers’ schedule.

This special match is the debut of LeBron James’s “son”, Bronny James, for the USC Trojans (against Long Beach State 49ers on December 11). This is not only Bronny’s first match at the NCAA level (the highest level of college basketball in the US), but also the day the 2004-born boy returned to the field after suffering a cardiac arrest in July.

Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest on July 20, while practicing. LeBron James’ son was discovered to have a congenital heart defect.

Bronny James’ time on the court was not too long but he left his mark. The son of “King James” scored 4 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists. Notably, Bronny James also made his father sitting in the stands proud. The 19-year-old shooter recreated the excellent defensive blocking skills that made LeBron James’s brand in the NBA.
