LeBron James changed his profile picture on multiple social media platforms to celebrate USA Basketball’s gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The Los Angeles Lakers superstar changed his profile picture on X to an image of the entire U.S. men’s basketball team displaying their gold medals.

James also changed his Instagram profile picture to an image of himself alongside Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant after winning gold.

After the U.S. defeated France to stand on top of the podium, the 39-year-old was

named MVP of the Olympics men’s basketball tournament.

James was humbled by the nod after winning the third Olympic gold medal of his career.

“It’s an honor. I don’t know who the voting committee, or whatever the case may be, but super-humbled that they even voted for me,” James told Marc J. Spears of Andscape. “But it came with us winning gold and that’s what’s more important for me. It’s pretty cool.”

The four-time NBA MVP helped the U.S. finish with an undefeated record in Olympic play. James averaged 14.2 points, 8.5 assists and 6.8 rebounds per game while shooting 66 percent from the field in six contests.

He became the first player in Olympic history to record multiple triple-doubles during a semifinal matchup with Serbia. He later posted 14 points and 10 assists in the gold-medal game against France.

James is making sure to revel in his latest accomplishment, as he likely won’t be making any future appearances at the Olympics. The NBA’s all-time leading scorer told reporters that he “can’t see” himself participating in the 2028 Summer Games in Los Angeles.

With James’ Team USA experience coming to an end, he’ll look forward to helping the Lakers attempt to bounce back from a disappointing first-round playoff loss to the Denver Nuggets alongside U.S. teammate Anthony Davis.
