Temporarily leaving football behind, Ronaldo fell in love with a sport that at first glance looked like pickleball, and decided to spend money to do something big.

These past few days, Ronaldo has been spending time playing a sport that looks a lot like pickleball.

After returning from Euro 2024, Ronaldo temporarily left football to spend time with his family and rest. In recent days, people have caught images of the Portuguese superstar playing a rather special sport, which looks quite similar to pickleball but is not.

In fact, Ronaldo is trying his hand at padel. This sport has many similarities to tennis but is played in a closed space, often surrounded by a closed wall. Therefore, Padel is still called cage tennis. During his recent vacation, Ronaldo played padel with his friends. Previously, CR7’s girlfriend Georgina and eldest son Ronaldo Jr also played padel.

Portuguese media revealed that Ronaldo’s company is cooperating with the Portuguese Padel Federation to build a series of padel courts. In the Vale do Jamor area (Portugal) alone, there will be about 17 padel courts. This large-scale project is entering the final stages of applying for a license and is expected to start construction soon.

As for Ronaldo, the 39-year-old superstar has joined the Al Nassr players since August 2. It is expected that this week, CR7 will have his first training session with the whole team to prepare for the new season.
