by ANTHONY SINGLETARY on JUNE 28, 2024
Are the directors of Bad Boys returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Adil El Arbi And Bilall Fallah revealed if they’d be open to directing Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4.
Bad Boys: Ride or Die is turning out to be one of the biggest action hits of the summer, in no small part thanks to the directors Adil El Arbi And Bilall Fallah bringing new energy to the franchise. This has led many to wonder if they’d be good fits to helm Spider-Man 4, given Marvel is currently on the hunt for directors. Luckily, it seems they’re open to it.
“That’d be cool, if they allow us. If they ask us,” El Arbi told Variety in a recent interview. “We love Spider-Man and we love New York,” Fallah added.
This wouldn’t be the first time the Bad Boys directors took a shot at superheroes. Adil El Arbi And Bilall Fallah previously directed the canceled Batgirl film, as well as some episodes of Ms. Marvel. While no official word has been made regarding whether they’ll helm Spider-Man 4, the chances are certainly looking good.
The Many Rumored Directors Of Spider-Man 4
As of right now, the most recent rumor suggests Marvel wants Bad Boys directors Adil El Arbi And Bilall Fallah to helm Spider-Man 4. However, they’re far from the only ones apparently on the studio’s radar. Drew Goddard and Justin Lin were apparently up for the job, but both have new projects that seemingly suggest they’re out of the running.
While Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah are the new school picks with their reinvention of the Bad Boys franchise, there’s also an old-school pick being tossed around the rumor mill. Apparently Marvel is also considering Sam Raimi to direct Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4. Given the film is set to start production at the end of summer, Marvel fans will likely discover the truth soon!
