Inter Miami CEO Xavier Asensi gave an interview to Mundo Deportivo in which he talked about a potential friendly between the American team and Barcelona to celebrate the inauguration of the new Spotify Camp Nou.

Leo Messi’s last match at Camp Nou was on May 16, 2021. At that time, Ronald Koeman was in charge of the Catalan team and the fans had no idea that they were living the last moments of the Argentine legend in the Barcelona shirt, where he moved to PSG in the summer.
The No. 10 could soon be back at Camp Nou if the schedule goes well, with Inter Miami CEO Xavier Asensi not ruling out the possibility when asked by Mundo Deportivo in an interview published on Monday.
“It’s a scheduling issue. The 2020 game is part of a tour that Inter Miami can prepare for. Since we’ve played the Leagues Cup, we don’t have the possibility to play a friendly. In January or December, we can’t know if a friendly with Barcelona fits into Miami’s schedule,” he said. “What if we imagine Messi at the inauguration of the new Camp Nou? It depends on when it happens. We’ll discuss that event.”
