Arsenal are yet to agree a deal to sign Dan Bentley, but Wolves have hinted at a potential departure with their kit release photos.

Dan Bentley has been left out of Wolves’ kit release photos amid recent links to Arsenal, with the club only sharing pictures of Jose Sa and Tom King in the new shirts.

Given Bentley made seven appearances for Wolves last season and King didn’t make any, you’d expect that Bentley would be the one in the promotional pictures.
But the uncertainty around the Arsenal target’s future evidently made King the preferred choice.

Arsenal’s move for Bentley appears to be at a bit of a standstill at the moment. Journalist Alan Nixon recently reported that the Gunners had made a £300,000 bid for the goalkeeper, their second bid of the summer window, but Wolves turned the offer down.
Wolves were initially hoping to receive £1m for Bentley, but Nixon wrote that the two clubs were close to reaching a compromise last week.
Yet nothing is done yet, with Nixon later going on to report that Wolves were offering Bentley a new deal to try and convince him to stay.

There’s been no suggestion that the goalkeeper has accepted the contract offer, and his exclusion from Wolves’ promotional campaign certainly suggests a transfer is still on the cards. It seems the situation could still go either way.
For the time being, Arsenal are relying on Karl Hein as their only senior goalkeeper in pre-season, less than two weeks after the Euro 2024 final – for which Aaron Ramsdale and David Raya were both in their countries’ respective squads.
