Before the match took place, Inter Miami held a surprise ceremony to honor Messi when he won the 2024 Copa America and became the player with the most titles in the history of world football.
The most impressive moment was when 45 boys, following signs with the 45 titles Messi has achieved, took turns on the field and formed a circle around a large flag with Messi’s name and the number 45 printed on it.
Messi walked out onto the field to applause and cheers as he was honored.
