How much did Manchester United spend to get Ronaldo?

Last night (August 27), Manchester United confirmed that superstar Cristiano Ronaldo will return to play for the team from Juventus.

Tuoitre.vn reported that the price that Manchester United offered to get Ronaldo was 24 million pounds. Initially, Ronaldo was said to be very close to Manchester City when there was news that the “blue half” of Manchester had reached a personal agreement with the Portuguese superstar.

However, according to many sources from the Italian press, the transfer fell apart at the last minute when Manchester City and Juventus could not reach an agreement on the transfer fee.

Specifically, Juventus wants Manchester City to spend 30 million euros to recruit Ronaldo, but Manchester City only wants CR7 on a free transfer.

Shortly after failing to reach an agreement with Juventus, Manchester City announced that they had given up on Ronaldo. While many were certain that Ronaldo would move to the Etihad, Manchester United also quietly approached Ronaldo.

After failing to land at Manchester City as planned, Ronaldo decided to join his old team Manchester United.

Seizing this opportunity, the “red devils” quickly agreed to spend 24 million pounds to have the service of former player Ronaldo.

According to Thethaovanhoa , Ronaldo arrived at Juventus’ training ground at 9:20 a.m. on August 27. Ronaldo’s farewell to his teammates at Juventus was quite emotionless because he only had one close friend here, the number 3 goalkeeper, Carlo Pinsoglio.

Ronaldo is said to have lost his passion for Juventus after the Old Lady were eliminated from the Champions League last season. The Portuguese star has been distant from his teammates since then.

With just a few days left until the end of the 2021 summer transfer window, Ronaldo realized the importance of pushing for a deal to leave. So Ronaldo decided to solve his own problem. In just 24 hours, Ronaldo’s future became the most watched topic in the football world.
