Basketball fans go crazy waiting for auction of LeBron James’ ‘unique’ shoes

LeBron James fans are going crazy as the rare shoes the American basketball superstar wore during his first championship as a college player are about to be auctioned.

According to TMZ , the commemorative shoes are about to be auctioned , and even though they are very old, anyone who wants to own them will have to spend a large sum of money.

TMZ reports that the black-and-white Jumpman Swift 6s — which James wore when he won a state title as a freshman playing for St. Vincent-St. Mary in Akron, Ohio — will be auctioned off. The shoes are considered extremely rare, so they are expected to fetch a starting price of $200,000.

According to Heritage Auctions, which will organize the auction, LeBron James’ sneakers were given to him by his stepfather Eddie Jackson in 2000.

LeBron James added a line of text on both size 14 shoes, writing his jersey number “23” as well as “1999 – 2000 State Games.”

The shoes will also come with their original boxes, the auction house said. The auction house said LeBron James’ shoes are “one-of-a-kind” and are among the few game-worn items from the superstar’s early career that still exist.

LeBron James is playing for the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA with a huge salary of 44.5 million USD/season. This 37-year-old star is considered one of the legends in the history of American basketball.
