Kylian Mbappe channelled his inner Cristiano Ronaldo by copying him during his official Real Madrid unveiling.
After weeks of uncertainty, it was finally confirmed last month that French superstar Mbappe will leave Paris Saint Germain and sign for Madrid.
Back then, the 25-year-old wrote on social media: “A dream come true. So happy and proud to join the club of my dream, Real Madrid.
“Nobody can understand how excited I am right now. Can’t wait to see you, Madridistas, and thanks for your unbelievable support. Hala Madrid!”
On Tuesday afternoon, after completing his medical tests, Mbappe was finally unveiled in front of Madrid fans at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
Towards the end of his presentation, Mbappe was spotted copying what Ronaldo did when the Portuguese was unveiled for the first time.
Mbappe said: “One, two, three. Hala Madrid,” in the same style as Ronaldo did back in 2009.
Mbappe also said: “My family are so happy. I can see my mum crying. It’s an incredible day for me. I’ve dreamed about this day since I was a kid. Being here today means a lot to me.
“Now I have another dream – and that’s the dream of living up to this club’s history and Madridistas’ expectations. I can promise that I will give my all for the club and this badge.”
He continued: “I’d also like a send a message to all the kids here today. I was once like you. If you have the passion, you’ll achieve your dreams.
“I’m very excited and emotional. The fact that I’m talking so much means that it’s very important for me to be here today. This is the club of my dreams and the biggest club in the history of world football.”
Mbappe will wear the number nine shirt for Madrid in the upcoming season.

Kylian Mbappe’s first words after being unveiled as Real Madrid player in spectacular fashion reveal true feelings on PSG exit
Real Madrid paraded their new ‘galáctico’ on Tuesday morning.
Kylian Mbappe spoke fluent Spanish as he opened up on his “dream” move to Real Madrid during an emotional presentation inside the Bernabeu.
Los Blancos paraded their new ‘galactico’ in an event that was dubbed “the most spectacular unveiling of a soccer player in history”.
The 25-year-old forward, who is set to become Madrid’s top earner on £12.8 million-a-year, completed his medical tests and penned his contract at the club’s training ground in Valdebebas on Tuesday morning.
Mbappe then made his way over to the Bernabeu, where 80,000 fans and a number of club legends, including Zinedine Zidane, welcomed his much-anticipated arrival.
Speaking on stage next to all 15 of Real Madrid’s Champions League trophies, Los Blancos president Florentino Perez introduced their new signing in memorable fashion.
He began: “12 years ago, Zizou [Zidane] invited a boy to our training ground, and he is now the star who will help us to succeed in the future, today we welcome Kylian Mbappe.
Perez added: “Welcome to your home, and congratulations for achieving your dream. I know what this means to you and your family. We saw how your eyes shone when you came here at the age of 13.”

Mbappe, who looked overwhelmed as he walked to the stage, gave a touching speech in Spanish.
“I have dreamed of playing for Real Madrid for years, today my dream has come true and I am particularly happy today,” he said.
“It’s an incredible day for me. Since I was a child, I had only one dream, and that was to play for Real Madrid. It means a lot to me to be there. Thank you to the supporters for being here to celebrate this moment with me.
“I have another dream: to live up to this club, the best in the world. I’m going to give everything, everything I have in me, for this club.”
He also said: “We won guys. We won. I’m here,” – a potential nod to his seven-year association with Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain.
The moment we have all been waiting for, Kylian Mbappé is finally here and it’s f*cking beautiful.
Kylian Mbappe made some revealing comments about his final season at PSG, just a day after his long-awaited move to Real Madrid was confirmed.
Back in June last year, the France international sent a formal letter to PSG informing them of his decision to not activate the option to extend his contract beyond 2024.
PSG were said to be “positive” over talks surrounding a new contract, so Mbappe’s decision is believed to have taken the club by surprise as they were making a significant effort to extend his stay.
In the coming weeks, Mbappe was ostracised from the first-team set-up. In fact, he was left out of their pre-season tour of Japan and South Korea following the appointment of Luis Enrique.

After much speculation surround his future, he eventually returned to the first-team set-up to help PSG lift another Ligue 1 title after scoring 27 league goals, but he would announce his exit soon after.
Back in June, Mbappe admitted that his time at the club came to a sad end.
Speaking to reporters in a press conference ahead of France’s friendly against Luxembourg, he said: “I was made to understand that I would no longer play for PSG [after informing them of my desire to leave at the end of the season],” he said.
“I was told right to my face, and quite violently, so I was convinced that I wasn’t going to play. Luis Enrique and Luis Campos saved me. Without them, I would never have stepped onto the pitch again. That is the truth.”
