Ronaldo’s spontaneous moment makes opponents frustrated

Right at the beginning of the match, Cristiano Ronaldo had a technical performance surrounded by Slovenian players.

Even before the ball rolled, people predicted that Portugal would have a difficult match against Slovenia.

However, Cristiano Ronaldo, the captain of the team from the Iberian peninsula, still confidently played surrounded by 5 players in white shirts.

Ronaldo’s moment of brilliance began when he flicked the ball over a Slovenian player’s head just outside the penalty area.

Then, CR7 continued to control the ball in the air for a few more beats.

He gently escaped from the enemy’s siege.

And the player marking Ronaldo was really frustrated and almost pushed the star down.

This was a match in which Ronaldo played with great effort. At the age of 39, he played the full 120 minutes and had 8 shots on goal against Slovenia.

Everything would have been perfect if Ronaldo had successfully converted the penalty in extra time. Unfortunately, his shot was intercepted by Jan Oblak.

However, when the match had to go into a penalty shootout, Ronaldo once again took the responsibility of taking the first shot for Portugal. This time he succeeded in the emotional outburst of the Portuguese coaching staff as well as fans.

In the penalty shootout, Portugal successfully executed all three shots. On the contrary, Slovenia missed all three and stopped in the round of 16.
