‘Messi is a genius, but I’m still a big fan of Ronaldo’

To me, Messi is a superstar artist on the field, but Ronaldo is more inspiring.

Comparing two football legends Cristiano Ronaldo (CR7) and Lionel Messi (M10) is an eternal topic, always attracting heated debate among fans.

As a football fan, I don’t want to downplay either of these two players. However, if forced to choose, I believe that CR7 possesses many factors that make him better than M10, so I am a die-hard CR7 fan.

1. Adaptability

Ronaldo shines in many environments: CR7 has achieved great success at famous clubs such as: Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus. He is always the leader leading the team to glory, regardless of different environments and teammates.

Messi has only been successful in one shirt. Although Messi has been with Barcelona for a long time and has achieved many brilliant achievements, the fact that he only shines in one environment will make many people, including me, question M10’s adaptability. No matter how brave a dragon is, if it only stays in one sea, is it any different from a stagnant pond?

2. Inspiration for the young generation of players

Although he does not possess natural talent like Messi, Ronaldo makes up for it with hard work and relentless effort. The image of Ronaldo diligently practicing, going to the gym, cultivating his courageous fighting spirit is a great source of inspiration for the young generation, encouraging them to pursue their dreams, such as Kylian Mbappe.

As for Messi – a natural genius, however, I find him less inspiring in his efforts than Ronaldo.

3. Skills and ability to compete

Messi is famous for his excellent dribbling, passing and creating abilities. Especially recreating the dribble past many opponents and then hitting the net like Maradona. However, his ability to finish, take free kicks and play with his head is not as impressive as Ronaldo’s. I think CR7 is a bit better because of its more comprehensive skills.

Ronaldo is a scoring machine and Messi is an artist on the field. But unfortunately, I’m not a dreamer.
