Ronaldo gathers with family, “recharging batteries” after disappointing EURO group stage

Superstar Cristiano Ronaldo’s experience in the group stage of EURO 2024 was not as expected. He was completely inept, despite starting in all 3 matches with the Portuguese team.

After a 0-2 defeat to Georgia in the final round of the EURO 2024 group stage , coach Roberto Martinez let the Portuguese team “break camp”. The players had a day to spend with their families, as a way to regain their spirit before entering the extremely difficult knockout stage.

Ronaldo had a disappointing EURO 2024 group stage

For individual superstar Ronaldo, his action of kicking the water bottle after being substituted in the loss to Georgia summarizes his performance throughout the group stage journey. Ronaldo only had one assist for Bruno Fernandes to score, a pass that helped him score points in the eyes of the fans. However, CR7 has not yet completed the task of scoring his own goals.

Ronaldo’s latest photo shows how important his family is to him. The 39-year-old superstar took care of the children after many days of completely focusing on the national team’s duties. Fans hope that this source of mental strength will help Ronaldo become sharper in the upcoming match.

At 2am on July 2 (Hanoi time), Portugal will enter the round of 16 match with Slovenia. With the top result in Group F, Portugal falls into a difficult bracket. Even if they overcome Slovenia, waiting for Ronaldo and his teammates in the quarterfinals will be France or Belgium, and further away, maybe Germany or Spain.

Ronaldo is happy with his family

Ronaldo’s close friend Diogo Dalot also shared a moment with his daughter.
