Argentina captain Leo Messi has described Aston Villa goalkeeper Emi Martinez as the best goalkeeper in the world.
Messi, who is preparing with Argentina for Copa America, told ESPN that Martinez is a fundamental piece for both club and national team.
“For me yes, I think if he is not the best in the world he is certainly one of the best. He has shown that in the national team and at his club. “I think that
today at the club he is an important part of the team, he has achieved the goal that he set for himself in his career, which is to be in the Champions League. “I have no doubt that
a lot of the credit goes to him.”
