2023 has been a Barbie world, and we all have been basking in it with ink here, there, and everywhere. Barbie’s Margot Robbie has gone beyond her on-screen role, stepping out in true Barbiecore style over and over again this year, giving us the most iconic off-screen looks. But now it also looks like Robbie’s all-pink Barbie-style days are over.
On November 14, the Oscar-nominated actor graced the red carpet for the Saltburn premiere, her first premiere post-SAG strike, at The Theatre at ACE Hotel in Los Angeles. Wearing a sheer black satin corset Schiaparelli gown with wide-leg trapeze pants and its own navel-piercing detail, Robbie was joined by a star-studded cast including Carey Mulligan and Jacob Elordi. Her husband, Tom Ackerley, also joined her on the red carpet.

Robbie’s striking gown originally debuted on the runway as part of the 2023 Fall Haute Couture collection. In line with Schiaparelli’s surrealist and witty aesthetic, the devil is in the details with this gown, specifically featuring a small gold-plated metal cuff at the navel.

Robbie and her stylist, Andrew Mukamal, kept the look simple, leaving the details to Schiaparelli’s gown, pairing the look with a golden choker, barely visible brown pointy boots, and glossy pink lips. Her golden hair framed her face with simple, wavy curls. With no pink in sight, this look gave us a different type of glam.

While Margot Robbie has previously stunned in a black Schiaparelli Haute Couture fully sequined bustier gown for the Barbie premiere, most of her iconic Barbie press style run looks were predominantly pink. All year, Robbie and Mukamal have been dipping into all the fashion archives and painting the town pink to bring Robbie’s stylish alter ego to life. But the times they are a-changin’. Even if the pink era is over, we aren’t mad because Robbie is still serving some major glam.
